I keep wanting to comment on this, but really, other than "you hit the nail on the head" or "Agree (1)" ... I really don't know what to say! Good customer service, like you give (even to your smallest customers) is so easy to do. Treat people like human beings. What is it about big companies that makes them lose sight of that?

I really appreciate this writeup. You make some key points - business owners need to adapt to change and the demands of the market place, and what people say and what they do are different (which is why focus group advice is not the same as actual usage data). I respect your decision to choose yarns to carry based on your business model. I may not always agree with the choices, but that's how these things work. If I don't buy enough that my favorites are poor sellers overall, that's life. I think it's really considerate of you to try to keep poor sellers in stock, and very telling that you still don't get enough orders to be able to make the minimum.

That yarn will make a return late fall or early winter. I don't know if you heard about the fire which destroyed all of the BFL yarns in the warehouse in England? Wool2Dye4 lost all of our stock of two yarns, this BFL Aran and BFL Ultra! the sock yarn. Have had a hard time finding a mill to spin it to standards, and the old mill has closed. We have now placed the fiber with our merino mill, and hope to hear word in a few months of the return of BFL Aran. We have quite a few knitters of longies and soakers who say that this is the right yarn for the job.
